Hooray for Hollywood Exhibition Opening

Tonight the Boatworks rolled out the red carpet for the latest opening, a new exhibition devoted to the theme of Hollywood and the movies.  No velvet ropes to keep back the crowds.  And we had quite a few people there.  The exhibition includes 38 artworks, including such diverse media as ceramics, corks, mosaic, collage, photography, painting, pen and ink, bronze, pastels, and a detailed diorama of the building exterior from Hitchcock's Rear Window that has to be seen to be believed.

In fact, this mixed media reproduced building exterior by Louise Krasniewicz won the viewer vote for favorite piece in the show.  This exhibition was organized by Hillary Binder-Klein and Melissa Moffett, who also provided the prize that went to the piece that received the most viewer votes, a $50 gift certificate to Colorest.

The Hooray for Hollywood show is open Wednesday to Saturday, 1 to 5 pm, through March 18, 2016.  Admission is free.
